A company that has lost it's purpose and is dying a slow death.

Pros

It has a lot of goodwill and loyal followers/believers in it's original mission. There is a lot of stability in the workforce (I.e they've been there a long time.). People are collegial.

Cons

Top management does not know how to fix the big problem which is that they are fundamentally in the direct mail business and that business is now dead. Guideposts is now following their mailing list directly into the grave. RIP

spacious cubicle, nice co-workers, coffee, sometimes a free lunch (rare, compared to my friends jobs)

Cons

very poor benefits, my co-workers complain almost everyday about 'this' or 'that', benefits were recently severely declined in quality, strange, unqualified managers trying to "save face", many restructures: the company hired two directors for one department, causing lots of internal fluster (how stupid?), not much room for growth, shared working space with many weird people who could not work elsewhere.
