Thanks for sharing your perspective. It’s great to hear you valued the work culture, environment, and facilities in our Denver office. It’s harder to discern your areas of improvement given their brevity, however, I would be happy to connect with you to better understand how job profiles might improve. Thanks, Steve Peck, SVP Engineering

Pros

Very progressive when it comes to all things benefits and employee support.

Cons

Still very much a start up environment, things change frequently and it's tough to keep track.

Thank you for sharing this review. It’s so great that you feel supported at Guild. The team works so hard and makes such an impact - it’s always very welcome to get the feedback that you feel Guild has, in turn, stepped up with a strong and progressive benefits offering. And you have a point on the dynamic changing environment. That's certainly the reality here - but I like to think we’re doing better and better at leaning into the team support on managing change every day. Thanks again, Alana Brandes, VP People Business Partner

Pros

I am a tenured member of the Guild community. Five years to be exact. I have been at Guild since the very beginning, and what I will say is that our company is not perfect. Is any company? I don't say this to discourage anyone from working at Guild, but more to acknowledge the reality of any job. I imagine that most negative reviews on Glassdoor come from disgruntled former employees, but take those with a grain of salt because it's possible that their expectations were misaligned. While Guild is a rising star with many glowing headlines in the news, remember that it is still a start-up. And if you have ever worked for a start-up you know that it is not as glamorous as it may sound. Long hours, limited resources, constant change, and endless iterations of processes. If you aren't ready for that type of environment, I can assure you that Guild is not the right place for you. However, if you want a company where you leave every day knowing that the work you are doing is contributing to something extremely meaningful for the future generation, something that's never been done before, then you will likely be quite satisfied. But again, make sure your expectations are realistic. If you want kombucha on tap, I promise you the fluffy benefits are better somewhere else. This isn't your typical start-up, but the mission is powerful and that's really what makes Guild Education so special. And in my opinion, that's much better than kombucha. Does Guild have problems to solve? Absolutely. Could you contribute to making it an even better place to work? I hope so. Do you want to be a part of this growing community? That's something only you can answer. In closing, let me say this, I will soon be a former employee. Though I am not leaving Guild, I am leaving a poor manager. What I know to be true though, is that challenging leaders exist in every organization, and I also believe that those individuals will either change their behavior or soon find themselves at the door. I hold no ill will towards Guild for my manager's behavior. In fact, five years at Guild has led me to another fabulous opportunity in my career and I am grateful for all that I have learned along the way, particularly when it comes to perseverance and tenacity. I have had so many opportunities to do so many amazing things in my time at Guild. As such, I will remain a loyal member of the Guild alumni community and will forever support the mission of Guild and what we are aiming to accomplish for millions of Americans. I encourage you to do your research (as you are right now) but I also want you to know that Guild Education is still a great place to work. That's the honest truth. Cheers.

Cons

· Rapid growth with room to improve on operations and infrastructure. · Leadership turnover, lack of consistency. · Inefficient feedback loop from top of funnel to bottom of funnel teams. · Heavy emphasis on sales and launches which leads to overpromising on what we can realistically deliver.
