They don't know how to train

Pros

Shifts are short and you have the opportunity to make a lot of money in tips. Not many tables but there's good money.

Cons

For my first three days there, I was standing around at places like the bar, expo line, for three hours, and then later, I was admonished for not learning everything about the menu during that time, even though I was given no real instruction. Later, I finally got to shadow a server, which was what my first day on the job should have been. On top of that, most of the servers didn't even really say hello or make an attempt to talk to me, which of course made me feel awkward. When I reached out to management to say that this position isn't for me, and included a lengthy synopsis of all the red flags I encountered there, I didn't even get a response back. Guess I made the right choice!
