Pros

Hours are great, M-F 7-5. Decent paid time off, but you need it after working day after day in this stress filled environment.

Cons

This place is a dump. It's a boiler room collection agency. They churn so many employees. I've been here under 3 months, and I've seen at least 25 people quit or get fired. This company is desperate for people. If you have a pulse and are willing to sit at a desk with a headset on your head making call after call, they will hire you. If you've ever called customer service and dealt with the automated prompts and the outsourced workers in India, think about that, that is what you'll be doing 8 hours a day here. Management is clueless. Because of the high turn over of people, unskilled management is in place. They "promote" anyone willing to torture themselves and stay with the company for a year. 90% of my co workers are actively looking for another job. I talked to an employee that has been there just under three years(non management)she told me she's received 1 pay raise the entire 3 years. This company is so desperate for people, I quit and they asked me to do two weeks. They issue quotas and threats of termination if you don't meet those quotas. The company willfully breaks HIPAA privacy laws. They leave the Front door propped open. Great job protecting your employees and the privacy of the patients. Your computer is your life blood, everything including your phone is on your computer, and this company has a lot of Gateway computers. I'm pretty sure that company went out of business about a decade ago.

HFRI Response

At HFRI, we take the opinions of our employees seriously and therefore thank you for your feedback. HFRI is committed to creating a positive working environment for our employees and are disappointed to learn about your experiences. It is noted in your feedback that you worked for the company for three months; therefore, we want to be sure that this response is relevant to this fact. HFRI understands that new employees can experience some pressure when starting a new job at a new company. Based on this, our training team provides support during the first three weeks on the job and continuous support from the Team Lead and Supervisor as new employees continue to learn. In addition, based on the feedback of our employees, we have recently made some improvements to our training program to include a more hands on experience. This approach allows for a more diverse learning environment that is tailored for all types of adult learners. While we experience some turnover, we make a good faith effort to retain our staff and provide opportunities for growth. We will continue to consider positive and necessary changes as we grow our business. In regards to HIPAA and security, our company has strict practices in place. At our location, we share the building with another business; therefore, our secure doors are internally within the building. These doors are securely locked to safeguard from any potential risk and violations. Based on this, the door mentioned in the feedback is an exterior door, which is sometimes propped open for employees to go outside for their break. This door does not pose a risk since it is an exterior entrance. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

HFRI has a new excellent training program that helps individuals who come in with no experience in Revenue Cycle Management. I joined the company right before this training began however I was able to attend thanks to upper management making sure employees are fully aware of and understanding their job. There are always opportunities to go back for training sessions to continue your growth and stay in the flow on any updates. There is always something to learn and people willing to teach you. In my almost 2 years with the company I have moved up 3 positions/ balance ranges. Hard work is recognized and appreciated when you come in and do your job. The company recently joined a softball league which has only confirmed the great relationships built between coworkers. Come in do your job, a little extra if you want to move up, and it will happen. HFRI is a team that wants to see people who are willing to do the work succeed.

Cons

Room for growth is there but it is all based on obtaining new/more clients.
