Harnham has not undertaken company-wide layoffs as described in this review. The only workforce reduction in our recent history occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, when widespread hiring freezes across the technology sector significantly impacted market demand. At that time, we unfortunately had to reduce a number of entry-level positions in response to those unprecedented market conditions. This took place approximately six years ago and has not been repeated since. While we recognize that every individual's experience is unique, we remain committed to supporting our employees' development and providing transparency throughout their careers with us. It's clear from your comments that your experience hasn't always matched the one we aim to create, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. Recruitment is a high-performance industry and there will always be times when performance is discussed openly and expectations are challenged. While our intention is to support people through difficult periods rather than penalise them, we recognise that those conversations can feel very different depending on an individual's experience and circumstances. We also understand your comments around leadership, career progression and change. We're proud that many of our managers have built long-term careers at Harnham and progressed from trainee level into leadership positions. That continuity brings a lot of value, but it's fair to say that it can also create challenges if a business isn't continually looking at new ideas and different perspectives. That's something we're conscious of and continue to work on. In fact, towards the end of 2025 we made a significant investment in additional management and leadership development programmes to ensure our leaders are equipped with the skills, perspectives and support needed to help both their teams and the wider business succeed. On the point around meetings and decision-making, there is always a balance to be struck between collaboration, consistency and giving people the autonomy to focus on their core responsibilities. While we may not always get that balance right, it's something we regularly review and discuss with our teams. Whilst we may not agree with every point raised, we appreciate the time you've taken to share your experience.
