Pros

After years in the tech industry, I can confidently say Harper is one of the best companies I've been part of. It's rare to find a place that truly gets the combination right - great team, strong leadership, meaningful product, and a genuine commitment to valuing people - but Harper nails it. The CEO leads with both vision and empathy, which sets the tone for the entire organization. The team is incredibly talented but also collaborative and supportive, which makes even challenging work enjoyable. The product itself is solving real problems that developers face every day, and you can feel that sense of purpose in the work. What stands out most is how Harper actually lives up to its stated values. In an industry where "people-first" often feels like empty corporate speak, Harper demonstrates it through their actions and decisions. It's refreshing to work somewhere that doesn't just talk about culture but actively cultivates it. If you're looking for a place where you can do meaningful work, grow professionally, and be part of a team that genuinely cares about both the product and the people building it, Harper is worth considering.

Cons

If you prefer clear, well-defined processes and established paths, this might not be the right fit. The environment is dynamic and fast-moving - you'll need to be comfortable working through ambiguity, figuring things out as you go, and taking real ownership of your outcomes. It requires initiative and the ability to thrive without a lot of hand-holding.

Pros

The whole team is incredibly welcoming and supportive. Great culture where you’re trusted to take ownership. Collaborative environment with lots of growth opportunities.

Cons

Not a con, but this is a fast paced environment. The positive in this is the team supports you from day 1 and you will adapt to this pace and find your own way to deliver results.
