An above average environment with messed up HR policies
Pros
1. The environment of Machine Learning team is excellent. 2. The workload is manageable and the team lead is only concerned about productivity. 3. The pay was deposited on 1st of every month, which is a very good thing.
Cons
1. The HR policies are awful and cruel. They don't tell you these policies before because if they do, you won't join the company. Some of the policies are: a) If your start time is later than 3:05 PM 3 days in a month, your salary will be deducted. b) If you Work From Home, your 25% salary will be deducted for that day. c) The break time is 8 PM - 9 PM and you can't play table tennis, have lunch etc. at any other time than the break time. You'll have to come back to your seat exactly at 9 PM otherwise someone can confront you from HR "What are you doing here?" d) They deduct half of your salary in 3 installements and will pay this amount back when you leave the company. This is type of a security deposit so the employee will complete the notice period. 2. The attitude of HR is worst of the worst. They don't have the iota of knowledge on how to handle people, difficult situations, etc. They should attend some workshops to handle the employees better.
