      Pros

      The company provides top notch coaching. You don't feel like your all alone. Anytime I had a question or needed help I was able to get it.

      Cons

      As with any insurance job the leads are crappy and you end up taking a lot of verbal abuse going through them. The hope is one sale out of every hundred $2.00 leads. When your starting out if you don't have money to invest it's called paying your dues.

      Pros

      HealthMarkets Insurance Agency has been in existence for years and has been a great place to work in the Texas home office.

      Cons

      Recent acquisition by United Health has caused the company to lose some of the family feel it had and it now feels very corporate structured.

      Flexible working environment and high compensation. They care about their agents and brokers and do everything they can to support them

      None. A license is required of all agents. Periodic Certifications for specific product lines are required

      Pros

      High hourly pay with excellent commissions package and benefits.

      Cons

      Management and Supervisors mistreatment towards the employees. Zero flexibility. Expect a write-up if you get sick, even with a doctor's note. Outbound cold/spam calling. Pressure sales tactics are expected. Bait-and-switch tactics are expected.
