Pros

They make sure you are compliant and don't have the state board knocking down your door (unlike some chiropractors). The corporate training is pretty good. If it is your first job out of college and you don't mind working a lot for a small salary and you go into it knowing their promises to sell you the clinic will not happen, then it's not so bad.

Cons

Have a lawyer review your contract and be very careful. They will screw you. If they promise you that you'll be able to buy your clinic, you won't unless you want to pay three times the value of your office (which you won't be able to get a loan for). If they promise that you'll make a certain amount of money, you'll probably only make your base pay and perhaps just a little more. If you are okay with your base pay and you don't care about buying the office and you are okay with being forced to work every weekend doing screenings at fairs, farmer's markets, flea markets, etc, then you will learn something while working there.

Pros

Training and patient communication help get you out of your shell if used properly. Support network of other doctors helps you not feel like you are on an island.

Cons

I've seen unethical patient treatment in multiple offices designed to maximize profit rather than deliver recommendations based on the need of the patient. It's churn and burn at every employee level. Regardless of talent or drive, it is difficult to maintain motivation with this environment. A lot of work for very little financial or emotional reward. If you go into it (which I wouldn't advise), go into it with a goal to learn what to do and more importantly, what not to do. Have an exit plan and treat it like a student teaching position. Ignore the mirage of the moving bonus and ownership potential. Every office is run differently but the above applies to multiple offices that I've seen or talked to.

Pros

none that can me mentioned that existed due to the company...only pros were the fellow employees that felt there was something wrong

Cons

The entire premise of the company is built upon maximizing insurance payout over a duration of timed evaluations with a SCRIPTED, yes i said scripted progression of what to say, do, and tell a patient they must come for and wait to have evaluated. e.g. x rays today, go over tomorrow..even if you just developed them, they have to come back the next day to pay for another visit. Scripts are rehearsed in front of a 'trainer' to make sure you have memorized them and thus no patient is treated individually. E.g. so i hear you were recommended by ....., he/she is a great patient, wish i had a thousand more like him/her. Sound familiar? Some patients are even purposely seen even when referral would have been the proper course of action... thus delaying care (creates liability with malpractice). Unbelievable that people stoop this low to make money.
