I met some very talented and hardworking people who became excellent friends.
Cons
They'll bring you in, drain you of every drop of effort and energy they can get under the guise of being a 'family' or a 'fun place to work' and then kick you out when they need to make their bottom line look better for investors. Pay inequity - and god help you if you talk about it, long hours, constantly changing direction or being asked to do the impossible. Friendly as long as you're useful, and the second you cease to be of value you're persona non-grata. Leadership is half yes-men and half manipulative snakes.
