A "Family Owned Family Run" business, when it's just nepotism with inept leaders running a sinking ship to the ground.
Pros
-The other employees that aren't management (except for 2 when I left) -Learned more about Excel -Gained knowledge about online retail business structure
Cons
-Nepotism, no real chance at moving up in the company -Becomes a child daycare whenever school's out. Cannot focus at all. -Only care about the number of products uploaded. But then the rest of the website is riddled with mistaken products, that adds to customer service's workload, AND purchasing ordering products that are already discontinued -Because you are separated by department, you have no knowledge of how the other departments work. There is no collaboration. You only care about yourself, and what is expected of you. This leads to departments judging each other and a negative work environment where clique bubbles can form. -You have no voice in this company. Your input means nothing. You are expected to do as your told, and if you bring up anything they don't like, can be labeled as "making drama" and will be fired for it. -Literally no benefits except 5 days of PTO a YEAR, coupled with a starting pay of $10-11 an hour that is terribly low for any desk job. -A company desperate to fill seats in their building, yet cannot understand why no one wants to work for them/leaves. -A huge negative impact on employee mental health. -Management complaining about 'no respect' when they give no respect to their employees and their work environment (ex. slamming doors, banging on walls, yelling through walls, saying they will give this short-term benefit then not keep up with it, complain on the phone TO CUSTOMERS about their employees, constant disrespectful talking behind other employee's backs).
