Pros

We have a new cool name. HI spent a few million euros in rebranding from Handicap International to "Humanity and Inclusion" while almost all the experts and activists were leaving HI! HI is an NGO with a glorious history (Nobel Prize and stuff), that still capitalizes on something that isn't anymore and uses neo-hype lingo to hide its decline. Thanks for teaching me how to recognize so many toxic aspects of the development and humanitarian field.

Cons

The values promoted by the organization are at the exact opposite of their policies and practices. To name a few things wrong with HI (not exhaustive): no real inclusion of ppl with disabilities, systemic racism toward beneficiaries, local employees and local actors, moral harassment, abusive HR practices and policies, overworking local staff in terrible conditions while the expats and HQ staffs enjoy every privilege they can get ...
