My time at Hunter Auto Group was challenging due to the toxic work environment. The culture was rife with belittling behavior, including racist, sexist, and off-color jokes directed at both colleagues and customers. Promises of promotions were misleading, often resembling a bait-and-switch tactic more common in deceptive sales practices. The workload was overwhelming, as higher-level managers frequently delegated their responsibilities to others without consideration. The work-life balance was poor, with family time sacrificed for compensation that simply wasn’t worth it.
The number of unnecessary meetings was staggering, often taking managers away from their stores and leaving salespeople without adequate support. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company as a place to work. However, I will say that there are good people within the organization, but it’s disheartening to see them eventually fade away.
