Pros

I liked a few of the people, yet you don't really get a chance to get close with anyone because the turnover/firing rate is inappropriately high. They make cool and quirky products, but DO NOT let that fool you into taking a job offer from here! If I could, I would give negative stars and have one of those news investigative reporters called just to show people how bad this place really is!

Cons

Where do I begin? Let's start with my first week where I saw MULTIPLE people get fired, on the spot and without cause. That alone made me realize that I made a bad career choice and deeply regret me leaving my last job to come work for such a chauvinistic dictator of a boss. He demands so much of his employees, yet gives his employees what? Meager salaries? Poorly funded benefits? Five PTO's a year? And that's including sick AND vacation! Not to mention, he tracks your every move in and out of the building with his little key FOBs (Oh and he definitely checks these to keep everyone in line. He has no trust in his employees and appears he's looking to purposely fire people.) Trust me, even if you "do your job efficiently" as some of the nicer (clearly written by the CEO) ratings have put it, you are no safer from getting fired than the person sitting next to you doing absolutely nothing. He plays favorites, specifically to men. I am a woman, and there are times I tried to address serious issues some of my customers were having and he would just act derogatory and nasty as if I was doing something wrong. I take any job I have very seriously, so to be talked to in such a manner was just plain disgusting. The only people he seems to keep around are people who literally suck up to him. Maybe these employees have never had a job at a real company and don't realize how much they are being used and diminished at ICUP? I will give the employees that benefit of the doubt, because I don't want to bash them. They are not the problem-it's strictly management. In conclusion, I hope you read these reviews before considering an interview or job offer with ICUP. I PROMISE you that these reviews you are reading are truthful (and I hope you can decipher which ones are just written by the CEO and his suck up brigade). I would NEVER want to have someone make the decision I did and accept a job here. Even if you are looking for temporary work, you are better off working at Wal-Mart.

Employment Seeker Beware !

Pros

The products are very cool and some of the people seem nice, but most of them are new. If you are a favored employee then it is accepted to arrive late and leave whenever. All others will need to kiss the owners butt in order to be granted the same "perks". Question is why are there so many new employees, constant ads for employment, and very few long term people? The owner who is the first person to tell you how great things are is also the one who will talk about you to others and place blame. Someone should stand up to his way of dealing with people, he is a bully who hides behind others.

Cons

I was hired to do a job (recently fired) and giving very little direction and no training material. Once the questions started and I was being asked why things were not done or how existing issues were going to be corrected it was clear that not only does the company lack direction but that there is not a single person there who can provide guidance, training, and experienced advice. This is when I new taking the job at ICUP was a mistake. It is not a matter of being able to "handle the job" or "managers not with the company an more". These are stupid statements made by the owner himself, you are not fooling anyone. The fact that you are claiming your company to be better because you fired so many of the people who were hand selected by you is a joke. Don't even get me started on the interview process, it was unprofessional and degrading. I took the job because I could not believe a company of so many years and great product could be run so poorly. Hopefully this posting will help others to keep from making the same mistake. We have families, bills, and obligations. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you discard human beings!

Pros

There really aren't any. I'd give it no stars if I could.

Cons

Unequal job distribution, miserly owner (couldn't get the supplies you NEEDED to do the job without a million reasons as to why "It's all about the bottom line"), constant turnover, no support, and very little training- you are just somehow expected to know what to do, and extreme micro-management, little-to-no advancement, and laughable salaries...despite what the positive "reviewer" may have implied...nice try management!
