Great company, but a real nut in charge

Pros
Great compensation with a nice office. Coworkers are all pretty good. The company can be flexible on some benefits like hours/days worked.
Cons
The guy who runs the company (remotely, from the States), is prone to bouts of irrationality and verbal abuse. Doesn't have a problem calling someone stupid if they dare do something in a different way than he would. What's worse is that he often wants things done in a particularly obtuse way, but won't negotiate on any either the salient or minute points. Will fire people with no warning if he's having a bad day.
