Pros

Worthwhile internal training scheme for the first 12 months or so and you can learn a lot, especially if you're new to this world of corporate training.

Cons

It's really sad when the facade of a company that promised you so much, starts to crumble in front of you. When you start at the Impact Factory you're told about how the company is unique and (if you make it) you could be earning up to 100k a year as freelancer. It's a good trick as you're then willing to give up more and more of your unpaid time to ascend the ladder. I later found out from a long-serving staff member that the 100k figure is actually based on the singular achievements of an associate director who once pulled this in, in a calendar year. Her reward? To be kicked out of the company for getting 'too big for her boots'. Since then nobody has even come close to that level of earning and the majority of work is divided between the same 5 main trainers with the rest of us living off scraps.. Which is fine (money isn't everything) but not if you're using it to hoik newbies into your way of thinking. I concur with other honest reviewers on here about the politics, which is another huge disappointment when it comes to light, and I truly believe it affects the standard of training. That's why we have such a long client list because they are mainly one-offs with very little repeat business. As I said it's a sad reality and very hard to come to terms with but poor leadership will always filter through any organisation. As such the permanent staff are largely put upon and demotivated too.

Pros

Met some nice trainers on their training programme, learnt a few training ideas that are interesting.

Cons

Spent several months attending a weekly training session, the dates were frequently changed and we never left at the same time, some days it was 3pm others 1pm. It was expected that you devote your time for free to benefit from their training. There seemed to be a disdain for expertise, no timetable, no materials given. i find 'free fall facilitation' styles to be lacking in substance, and most people who attend training do like some structure to the day! I regret giving up so much of my time for getting nothing in return. The culture felt strange, and it appears that only a handful of trainers actually get work! One wonders why they bring in a fresh crew each year, knowing they are not going to pay them. Reminds me of training scandals such as Kirby hoovers or Gideon bibles!

Pros

I love working at Impact Factory. Which other company welcomes you on your first day with a beautiful bouquet of flowers but this warm and genuine company that lives to its values? With a huge list of blue chip clients and diverse and very diverse Communication and Interpersonal skills courses, many of its trainers and Home Team staff members have been working for Impact Factory for more than a decade in a very collaborative and dedicated way. Impact Factory is a great place to work and learn. Plus, the outcome of its work is hugely positive. It’s here to empower people and make the workplace better.

Cons

Maybe a more constant internal communication flow could be established. It's always good to know what is coming up.
