If you want to see what a genuinely toxic workplace culture looks like, this site unfortunately provides a very clear example. High staff turnover due to management being obnoxious, arrogant and non supportive whilst dishing disciplinaries out like they were sweets. Operators and shift managers are the first ones to be thrown under the bus. There also appears to be a disconnect between how health and safety issues are reported administratively and how they are experienced by employees on the shop floor. Concerns are sometimes marked as resolved without staff feeling that meaningful action has taken place. Unsurprisingly, the site experiences extremely high staff turnover. Many capable employees leave after relatively short periods once they realise the working environment and leadership culture are unlikely to improve. or improvement. The only positive aspect is some hardworking colleagues who were trying to do their jobs professionally despite the challenging circumstances created by poor leadership and low morale across the site.
