Pros

-Lots of job openings -Ease of moving locations, if that is important to you -Decent salary -Assistants are allowed to be Director of Rehab's as well as therapists -There is a good system in place to allow therapists/assistants to pursue a DOR position and the training that is needed -Annual Symposium for employees to get together and gain CEU's

Cons

-They are currently threatening to cut benefits and have already cut short term and long term disability without any warning, leaving pregnant employees with a major loss of income and no way to make it up. -The productivity expectation is 85% which is too high considering all the extra paperwork they require along with a major shortage of computers. This leaves 50 minutes a day to do everything from document, talk to nurses, do the extra req'd paperwork, wait in line for a computer, gather patients, etc. -Taking PTO is difficult at best and they do require employees to work all major holidays including Christmas day and Thanksgiving day, and not just partial days but all day. One employee from each discipline is allowed off at each building. -Very high stress job. -The upper management has been out of the field for too long. They frequently make new rules/requirements that are supposed to make our jobs easier but reality is, it makes it more difficult.

Pros

Expansive network of evidenced based practices and other therapists to bounce ideas off. Yearly convention for therapists to get CEUs

Cons

Like most skilled nursing facilities in the country, High productivity rates make the work/life balance mostly work with a little bit of life, easily making one burn out from their job. Limited computers to meet this high rates for point of service documentation and being reprimanded if rates are not met (even on your first week of work)
