Pros

It's a job. It pays. I was allowed to work 40 hours a week. The hours can be pretty flexible. Immediate supervisor was pretty great.

Cons

The owners - they should not be running a company, period. They hire people and think it gives them permission to treat them like non-humans. They have no respect for anyone, other than potential clients. They lie to current clients and ask their employees to follow-suit, they take on impossible projects and disappear on vacation or go out drinking when they are needed. They have no regard for anyone but themselves. They allow their employees to work continuously in unhealthy, unsafe environments and do nothing about it. They pay you the absolute minimum wage they can, expect you to do the work of a full team of people, and expect you to be grateful to them. They hire friends and family who have no clue how to do anything aside from tie their own shoes, if they can even manager that. Poor management. Poor organization. Borderline abusive work environment and practices. They have a tendency to take on all sorts of projects with which they have absolutely no clue how to do effectively. They low-ball the price so they get the job bid, and then disappear from it altogether while giving no one on the project any information on how to actually do anything. They go out to dinners, for drinks and on vacation while their employees are drowning in the sea of crap they took on. You have this attitude that everyone is beneath you, only your time matters, and you are the smartest people in the world and everyone else is an idiot. You can go into this job with a extroverted, happy, sunny disposition and they chew you up and spit you out as an angry, miserable person who feels nothing but exhaustion and hate towards other humans.

Our client satisfaction is our top priority, and we aim to be as full service as possible, so sometimes that means taking on new projects that we have not typically done before, because our clients are requesting it. We research how to execute these requests, use these requests to increase our company growth, and add to our list of services we provide. We are unaware of any unsafe or abusive environments, and we really wish we could have addressed this during your employment with us. The flexibility in hours is definitely a bonus when it comes to our salary positions. We hope you have found a position that fits what you are looking for, and appreciate your feedback.

Pros

It's an okay entry-level job. You do learn a lot from yourself/co-workers in the field. Immediate managers are pretty alright.

Cons

Everything. You'll be grossly under paid for your position. The benefits are sub-par at best. The owner is extremely arrogant and treats every employee as if they'll betray him on a daily basis. There is no trust between owner and employee. He badmouths every employee at one point or another and jumps down their throat when mistakes are made. There is no constructive criticism, but just being blamed for mistakes. You're expected to work extra hours in which you will not be paid for, but instead you'll get the promise of a "bonus" that is mere pennies compared to the work put in.

We don’t expect our employees to work extra hours, however we do have high standards for customer service and we hope our employees desire to show their dedication by presenting our company in the best way possible, even if that means working a bit longer than they expected. Most of our positions are salary, which allows us to give our employees some flexibility for coming in late/leaving early because we understand sometimes they are working through an issue that may take longer than expected. At INS, a position title does not automatically rate you a certain type of pay. Employee compensation is based on experience in that position, and job performance (customer service and technologically speaking). We are sorry you had a bad experience working for us and we will take your feedback into consideration. We are glad you learned a lot of technical skills while employed at INS, which we hope helps you in your future endeavors.

Due to our dedication to high standards when it comes to customer service, you are correct, our technician position is not always a typical 9-5 Monday-Friday position. The technician position really requires a person with a career goal mindset who has dedication to INS and their clients. We respect and understand the position is not for everyone, and sometimes it does not work out. Employee compensation is based on experience, and job performance (customer service and technologically speaking). We are doing better about having longer training periods for new technicians, and keep an open dialogue with them if they feel they aren’t getting the training they need to succeed. The month long vacation (sabbatical) is actually also offered to our employees as well after they have been with INS for a certain amount of time. We are sorry you were not pleased with your time here however; we are glad you enjoyed working with the office staff. We appreciate your feedback and hope you are doing well.
