Exciting projects overshadowed by high turnover and fear-based culture
Pros
Strong salaries and benefits compared to many companies in the industry. There are talented individuals across teams, and some exciting projects and global events to work on. The company attracts passionate people and there are opportunities to gain exposure quickly.
Cons
In my experience, the company suffered from extremely high turnover, particularly within a two-year period, with repeated restructures and layoffs happening with little warning. The culture often felt driven by fear rather than support, and there appeared to be significant issues with leadership, communication, and accountability. There was a lack of clear structure, long-term objectives, and operational stability across teams. Many decisions felt reactive rather than strategic, with frequent leadership changes and costly external spending despite internal instability. Marketing in particular went through major disruption, including large team changes following the arrival of new executive leadership. Significant restructuring took place, only for leadership direction to shift again shortly afterwards, creating uncertainty and instability across teams. I also experienced and witnessed behaviour that I felt crossed professional boundaries, including bullying from senior leadership. Concerns around inclusion, psychological safety, and how people were treated internally did not always appear to be taken seriously. Success within the company often seemed heavily dependent on alignment with senior leadership personalities rather than performance alone.
