Bear with me, this may be a bit lengthy, but this should be noted when considering IST as a place of employment.
IST states in all of their marketing they are a "no politics, fast growth environment", which is completely false. I repeat, do not believe a single word of that. IST makes most, if not all their decisions based off of favoritism of a project or team lead manager. Unless you are a cheerleader and scream out "GO IST" then don't expect to have much attention from upper management, or the president/CEO. This is most noticeable when it comes to discussions about salaries or issues within project.
If you are at all a person who has integrity or values real, honest discussions, IST is not for you. If someone brings up a problem or an issue that they are facing in hopes to find a solution, one of two things will happen. A) get shrugged off and will say they are working on it (spoiler alert: they aren't working on it) or B) get fired. Maybe both.
Let's talk money and job title itself. the real reason why you're probably on glassdoor looking for a job. In your interview process or any discussion with upper management, they will state you are going to be in a marketing position and make up to 60,000 dollars a year. I'm going to pull a Donald Trump here: WRONG. This is entirely a cold call center, which you will be "yelled/scolded" if you are not making enough calls or if you are not performing to the metrics they over promised to their clients. Unless you are the top 1% of the top performers in the office, you will not see 60,000 at all. You. are. paid. hourly. base. of approx. 12-13 dollars. Everything else comes from commission, unless you are lucky enough to be on a decent (what I really mean to say is easy) team, there will be times in which you do not get any commission. (Since we're being real here, sometimes when you even hit commission you may not receive it)
That last statement is more towards the people who believe they are going into a marketing role. I know this may come to a shock to most of you reading this, in the end, this is a sales job. The argument can be made that you are 'telemarketing" but the end all be all of IST, if you don't hit your quota or not performing to the metrics they want, you will be on watch or fear for your job. IST is very quick to fire you on any premise they want. Most, if not all of the employees go into work with the mindset that today may be the last day for them at IST.
This is mentioned in a lot of other reviews, but the high turnover rate is true.
IST states they utilize all the top performing software, which is true. But they don't provide the correct training and they don't have any support tech positions on site. That being said, the common issues are no one knows how to even use the software or the software crashes frequently, in which you will be told to essentially "roll with the punches and deal with it"
To wrap things up (because if I could go on and on about cons of IST, I'd have the length of a Harry Potter book) Everything is inconsistent and not at all structured. I know this is a very general statement, but for time sake and not to go into too much detail, just know that IST is a company in which everything is a clustermess (see what I did there?) and every word from upper management cannot be trusted. There is little to no job security and they say they will "promote" you, in reality will only raise your salary by .005% and hire all of the upper management positions outbound. IST has no genuine care for your career development. The CEO only cares about how much money he can profit in his own wallet.
