InsideView - A wannabe company!

Pros

They used to pay well. Not the case anymore. Good office facility.

Cons

InsideView is a funny wannabe company. They 'want' to do cool things to showcase they are trying to be in the league of Google. 1. The first core value any employee who joins InsideView learns is "No Politics". Trust me, InsideView teams are full of Politics. The managers here are the worst I have ever worked with. They are either puppets or dictators. 2. Too much bias. 3. Even after working here for say 3-4 years you are still the same person. You won't learn anything new here. 4. if you are non-serious about you career, it is a good company to pass your time, do some politics and take good pay home. If you are looking to build a career, better look out for some other companies. Note: Don't even try to get into customer facing teams.

Depressing work and future

Pros

Good leave benefits - you can take as many leaves you want and no one will question you Flexible timing - you can come in late and leave early Lots of games and outings No restriction to access FB, youtube

Cons

Scary times for the company. In less than 1 year so many people have left the company in HQ including Head of Product, Head of Finance and recently Head of Sales (her leave was kept secret). Company wants to save money and make profit. So they don't rehire. The burden is on India office to save money. Typical outsource India office. US employees still visit to India in business class for no good reason. They stay in fancy Westin and Taj hotels. Engineers are expected to understand customer and get closer to them. There is no opportunity for India employees to travel to US. If India employee travel, they are in cattle class. Because we have no budget. Head of India office is no where to be seen. He is spending time and money on outside activities. Wasting money on big lunch room. If we want to save money, the extra office should have been closed. But room used for MD's pet projects. Environment is become very political. No real progress. Sales people can't sell and engineers are blamed.

Few teams full of politics and favourtism

Pros

The company has a good culture and the workplace and comfortable and vibrant. Good place to work for a short sprint but cannot work here for long term as there is no growth.

Cons

Many teams follow a lot of politics and any good opportunity is given to certain people continuously. Other people are not even given a chance to perform. Managers is happy with you only if you are entertaining them with stories and jokes. Serious employees are treated as insincere towards work. The company demands too much of MINGLING much BEYOND a PROFESSIONAL LEVEL!! Which can make people very uncomfortable.
