Pros
My first job right out of college was with Instaclick and I was a little worried. I didn't want to be
the only person who literally knew nothing. But the very first day at Instaclick was reassuring as it started with a two week training period and Jim, the Company President, was in-charge of the entire training process.
I learned a lot in the two-week period and he was a good teacher. He made me feel a part of the Instaclick family right from the first day of work, and I want to acknowledge that fact.
Instaclick also had a different policy regarding newbies. In most offices, trainees or newbies are not really allowed to work on client projects and I expected the same from Instaclick. Imagine my surprise when I thrown into the thick of active projects as soon as I passed out of training. There was no reason to waste time and I had wonderful mentors like Adiand Christian who were super-friendly,knowledgeable and ever ready to help and guide. For all other non-work related problems, I used to get in touch with Reesa and she was a darling. My two years with the company were so much fun that I actually forgot that I was learning so much. More than anything, what I loved about Instaclick was it encouraged workers to be open, cooperative, and friendly. Of course, office politics did exist but it was on the downlow and it did not affect company morale or even worker morale. One big reason for this morale boost was also Jessica who kept us supplied with food and drink all through the day. Who can forget those great bagels, pastries, sausages, and fruits juices? For a hungry trainee, this was a godsend when projects went into overtime.I worked at the company for more than two years but after that, decided to move on to build my resume. It was a difficult decision but my work experience at Instaclick was the main reason that I was able to get a better job.
Cons
A Few Cons
I know that office lighting has to be bright but th
e lighting level was a little harsh. Toning it down
could make people more comfortable.
Building elevators are probably the worst in the wh
ole world. It easily takes me more than 10
minutes to reach the office every morning and the w
ait was super annoying.
