Pros

The company was good when we were like 30-50 people. Salary was above the industry standards.

Cons

I recently became a victim of cost-cutting measures at my company, and I want to share my experience to shed light on the situation. Here’s what happens: they engage in mass hiring for short-term projects and then resort to mass layoffs when those projects are completed. Once the work is done, they struggle to redeploy the additional staff to other teams, labeling them as "excess baggage" and laying them off under the guise of cost-cutting. They make questionable hiring decisions, such as recruiting far more people than needed for certain roles. For example, why would one product require eight Product Managers or nine DevOps engineers, especially when it doesn’t have significant traffic? Many of these extra hires were brought in for tasks like Azure migration and other stuffs, but once those tasks were completed, the company couldn’t accommodate them elsewhere, leading to layoffs. To make matters worse, I wasn’t paid any severance. I was asked to leave within a month without any support or assistance. This has deeply impacted my personal life as well—I had my wedding planned in three months, but the bride’s family called it off after this ordeal. This company has not only cost me my job but also disrupted my life in unimaginable ways. The layoffs are conducted very discreetly, with minimal communication or transparency. Leadership is disorganized and lacks technical expertise. The senior architect relies heavily on tools like ChatGPT for guidance, and the so-called directors seem equally incompetent. This company used to be exceptional when it was smaller, with around 50 employees. However, the greed of the India center head, who seems more interested in boosting his résumé, coupled with poor advice from senior architects and HR, has driven this once-great organization into the ground. If you are considering an offer from this company, treat it as nothing more than short-term employment.

Pros

The company has some great employees who are talented and passionate about their work. Flexible work hours and a good work-life balance.

Cons

The recent wave of layoffs has been disheartening and has created a culture of fear and uncertainty. More than half of the leadership team has been laid off already due to underperformance. The India head is coming up with another development plan which could be a start point of another layoff story. It’s tough to stay motivated when you constantly worry about job security. Communication from management about the company’s future and the reasons behind the layoffs has been lacking. Many employees feel left in the dark. Frequent layoffs have disrupted teams and led to a loss of institutional knowledge. The morale is low, and many of my coworkers are actively seeking other opportunities out of fear of being next.

Pros

Work culture is phenomenal Amazing teams A lot of benefits Good salary

Cons

Too much of politics and favouritism at the leadership level in india. They will promote an employee who doesn't deserve a promotion and fire the same person after a few months due to performance issues. The Senior architect seemed resistant to feedback and new ideas, which stifled creativity and collaboration among team members. This created a frustrating atmosphere where it was difficult to deliver quality work. Certain employees are consistently prioritised for promotions and projects, regardless of their performance. The emphasis on food as a primary means of recognition feels superficial and unfulfilling. While it's nice to have snacks, it doesn’t truly acknowledge the hard work and dedication that employees put in. Recognition should be more meaningful and personalized. The employees are paid fairly well and have the potential to eat from better restaurants than where they are being recognised. The selection process for recognition seems biased and lacks transparency. Many deserving employees are overlooked. The India centre head speaks a lot but lacks direction and fails to communicate effectively with the team. Decisions are often unclear and seem disconnected from the team’s actual needs.
