Pros

Monday - Friday working. Modern, colourful offices. If you work in the right department, friendly and supportive colleagues.

Cons

Agree that positive reviews on this site must be posted by directors and their 'favourites'. Moral is very low here at the moment, them and us culture, blame culture, parking on-site only for the chosen few, old management considered dinosaurs and are being moved out, promoted over or side-lined in favour of managers with degrees, even though the new bods don't have the passion, knowledge or experience . Raft of new directors since Christmas, bizarre as promotion should be a reward, not for running a failing department. Knowledge is held by the directors and not shared. Several high profile sales people have decided enough is enough. Someone really needs to start to take notice before its too late.

Pros

The directors' cars are lovely to look at. Sometimes it's challenging to 'Oooh' and 'Ahhhh' enthusiastically after walking in to a workplace where only the friends of the CEO can park. I don't mean friends made at work, I literally mean his uni buddies.

Cons

Intercity Telecom used to be run by its owner, a decent hard-working man who made millions through excellent timing, good business sense, taking risks and having a huge dollop of luck too. Unfortunately, as he decided he had made enough money, he put his son in charge and the whole thing is sinking, and sinking fast. The son has no regard for anyone who has been in the business before him and is slowly replacing all managers with 'directors' who are his friends from Uni. Of course they are not really directors, they are puppets with made-up titles that allow them to tell Mummy and Daddy they have become something. They haven't. They have simply accepted a subservient position to the guy at uni with the richest Dad. It is pitiful, and unfortunately, they seem to have no idea that we laugh hysterically at them when they're not around. I mean, tears rolling down our faces at the stupidity, naiivety and immaturity they exhibit. Unfortunately, their incompetence will take many years to be fully realised, as the father had made such a huge fortune before handing over to these kids. Many of the things we are asked to do must be unlawful, and I have no idea how we have not been prosecuted and closed down. If the owner's son was born to a different family, he would likely be serving burgers at Macdonalds, and so he makes a mockery of his position, the company and the customers and workers who are leaving in droves, open-mouthed at this diamond which is being crushed in to dust before their very eyes. A genuine pity, and the son has been born in to such riches, he will never understand the amazing opportunity he was given and will no doubt blame 'the economy' or 'the market' as he and his champagne-swilling uni mates tear the company down blissfully unaware that the cause was entirely them and their obsession with self image.
