81% positive business outlook
Pros
Work life balance is good
Cons
Upper management needs much improvement
Pros
Flexible hours and locations - Primarily work at office but able to work from home as needed. Also able to leave for necessary appointments or family events like a child's school function without any issue. Of course, one must be reasonable, but as long as you're getting your work done - and well - it's not a problem. Family has always been important to Interface and that is very important since work takes up so much of our time. I've made great friends here and have always had the best managers. The sustainability mission is REAL and management encourages personal and professional growth. And no, I don't work in recruiting. I just love this company. Our management has changed considerably in the past few years and that has been an adjustment. However, they seem committed to nailing down loose ends and raising accountability.
Cons
We're a bit top heavy in management now, but I imagine it's an investment to get us further along. While accountability is better, there is still at least one weak link in upper management, which is one of the reasons I'm giving that three stars. The other reason is that many of them haven't been here long enough to judge.
Pros
some people are OK to work with.
Cons
I would not recommend this place to anyone working in IT. Technology is done the old way and everything gets outsourced! It's not a healthy environment and upper management thinks treating everyone as a child is leadership. Everyone loves to throw you under the bus and not work as a team or blame a vendor. Horrible decision making, if they actually make one. There are a lot of people who have been here a LONG time... that's because they have no where else to go!
Pros
Your team is the reason you will continue to come back everyday Everyday is different A true “sales job” Amazing pay, you are responsible for your own pay structure Premium and recognizable product Frequent new products launches Good benefits Good management to RSD level Customer service is helpful with fast response teams High levels of stocked products and great production time Good environmental story
Cons
Upper management currently consists of a few layers of “Yes” men. No feedback is ever taken from the sales team. Scary to suggest anything for risk of retaliation Recent changes to bonus plan Seems to be attempting to maximize profits to potentially sell More than Half the AEs have 3 years or less of experience because of high job turn over No clarity on business rules involving splits Sales Support doesn’t actually support sales Often feels on an island
Pros
A healthy work environment with a lot of opportunities to grow professionally. The pay, bonuses, and time off are all competitive, and upper management does a good job listening to employee concerns and feedback across different levels of the company. No workplace is perfect, but overall Interface has been a genuinely positive place to work, and I’m thankful to be part of this organization.
Cons
I don’t have any significant drawbacks, but it would be refreshing to see the Lagrange offices and work spaces updated to better reflect the creativity, and design expertise that we are known for.
