You kiss up you rise up. There's no point in stating facts here because everyone seems to be intimidated of the manager and will listen to what she says.
Cons
You don't kiss up constantly you will be micro managed on every aspect of your job. Nobody wants to say anything because they're afraid. Cover so many others mistakes but if you have an issue with the general manager you will be made sure of having your mistakes exposed. The boys are protected especially.
