It’s super important for us that we’re creating and nurturing an environment where our current and future teammates see growth for themselves, and trust leadership to guide and create an inclusive environment. We have leveling guidelines for roles and I am directly aware of many 1:1 plans teams have to plan individual growth. Even at a small company where we don’t have a lot of specializations and programs, we work hard to develop individual growth plans for everyone. I’m sorry you’re not experiencing that, and I'd love to work with you on that if you are up for reaching out.
Regarding our mission, I know that leadership thinks deeply about how we’re pushing our mission forward, and how we can make sure the rest of the team can understand it. We know that there is more work to be done here and are actively working on ways of improving engagement across the team in our strategy and how the work we are doing is driven by our mission. We’ve published two major documents internally that define our mission and strategy, including milestones, and have discussed various elements in All Hands. I highly encourage you to take a look at those if you haven’t already, hopefully they will provide insight into our mission strategy and how our work right now is supporting it. Start a discussion internally, let's hold each other accountable and work together to see that mission through!
Your perspective is truly important to us so we know what everyone’s experience is like. I strongly encourage you to deliver this feedback internally (I’d love to discuss directly), because it’s hard to engage in an action-oriented discussion in this forum.
