In need of a serious course correction

Pros

The lower level people are great. Fun group of people. There is potential for Jdavis to be great...

Cons

Though there is potential for Jdavis to be great, management is so disconnected from day to day activities and from the actual people doing work that at this rate they won’t be great without a serious course correction. Too much money spent on marketing and hiring upper management from the outside instead of on the hard working employees. Management doesn’t push back on unrealistic client requests without checking with people responsible for doing work which leads employees to working unexpected long hours. Poor scheduling of employees time, rushing from unplanned emergencies due to poor project management is a regular occurrence. Promotions can occur, only if you suck up to management

Toxic working environment

Pros

You can learn a lot of “what not to do”

Cons

Unfair salary: salary depends on gender and whether you are a favorite. Factors such as professional degree, skills, level of expertise, and quality of work don’t seem to matter too much. Little chance of advancing: they are good at making people only do a few things, if you ask for different tasks or project types, they only make empty promises. They don’t listen nor care what you want to do. Stress: They never turn away projects, even when they are super understaffed. You can be a rock star and work a lot of over hours in order to keep on top of unrealistic deadlines, only to be told that’s not enough. Lack of managing - regularly assign tasks at 5 pm due by the next morning. Disrespectful: principles show little respect, and some times even insult employees. Maybe they don’t realize it?

Pros

Great clients and project types

Cons

You will work 60-70 hours a week and it won’t be enough, there is really no training and people are generally disgruntled, management belittled other employees openly in front of coworkers, communication between groups poor
