Don't waste your time working in this company

Pros

Fun and friendly colleagues who are very inclusive, they do not mind spending their time to teach you. Outside of work, the colleagues also regularly organise activities on their own for bonding.

Cons

Despite having really good employees, many leave due to unrealistic targets and deadlines. Top management show no sign of respect for any of the staff, using his PhD status to degrade staff of lower qualifications. They do not bother listening to suggestions and will brush staff off even if they made valid points. Some staff are made to use their personal time on weekends to assist the management on their personal tasks without any form of compensation. When there are problems, the management is quick to blame and tend to flare up at employees. Extreme micro-managing similar to communist countries by trying to control every single department's operations and decisions. While they claim to be ethical, the management try to find loopholes. Always threatening the foreign employees, that if they resign (for better opportunities outside), the company will report and file a complaint to the Ministry of manpower so that they will not be able to find jobs in the country next time. Bonus is judged based on whether you come back on weekends, and the number of OT hours you hit. There are a lot of promises made by the management, but when things go wrong, they twist their words and make it sound like you are the one in the wrong. The company claims to be MNC, but search carefully and you will find that there is only 1 country that the company has full operations in. For salary each month, you have to queue up to get your cheque and this is often done after office hours. Rightfully, salary provision is part of HR and should not be using employee's after hours. Salary was not given on time too, and sometimes people wait in vain when the management decides that it is times up to give out salary. There are some people in the company who are dependent on that monthly paycheck, yet the management chooses to give them out at their convenient time, showing that they only care about convenience to themselves, and zero to staff. No career progression at all. The company has a very twisted direction, there is only 1 decision maker in the company and everyone is made to listen to that 1 person, or be questioned everytime. Even if your explanation makes logical sense, it will be tossed aside.

Pros

Colleagues are friendly and helpful. Easy to approach colleagues for work assistance/ collaboration. Company offers Christmas lunch. Flat organization. Most employees are honest hardworking people.

Cons

Management has zero respect to employees. Verbal abuse is common. No career prospect. If things go wrong, Management always blame the staff. Negative and toxic atmosphere when dealing with Management. Many people resign and when they resign, they will be called names/ insulted. Really unbearably bad condition. Employees benefit and welfare are put at the very back of the company's priority. Salary is given by cheque and employees need to queue to be called in one by one, often time, after office hours.
