      Hostile and Toxic work environment

      Pros

      They bought me an iPhone X to use for work.

      Cons

      I was actually lied to about the role on several fronts in order to get me to accept the position. I worked in an incredibly hostile and antiquated office full of hostile and toxic people and was immediately fired for calling this environment out as toxic and asking HR to do their job and address it instead of asking me and frankly everyone else to work around it.

      Great organization, poor organization or resources

      Pros

      Flexible schedule. Great PTO. Great coworkers and managers. Programs were effective! Union!

      Cons

      The organization had a lot of turnover. Over the years this led to mismanagement. Programs were shut down, good coworkers were chased out. Grant money was misplaced and mismanagement. Workers were guilted for not working overtime. Workers under the influence were kept on staff despite reports. The upper management became, lazy, and refused to step down.

      Pros

      Great clients and co-workers, compassionate and supportive supervisors. Flexible or structured work schedule depending on need. Decent pay for a non profit.

      Cons

      Structure is lacking in the company as a whole. Depending on the program you are hired for, you may have a very different experience.
