Pros

The company used to have a good culture where we were working towards achieving something.

Cons

Lots of changes in the past that have not brought in any results. They are much behind the competition in products/services. Projects are stopped midway. No clarity about goals. The new leadership has no idea what the company stood for and is only working on making a name for themselves.

Dear Jimdoer, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I’m sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your Jimdo experience. I encourage you to speak to your manager or a member of the Jimdo leadership team if you have questions about the company strategy, product roadmap, or your goals. In addition, we’re currently running a hackweek which is a great opportunity to pitch an idea for a new product feature or service. I hope you take advantage of it. Thanks again!

Hi dear former colleague, We are glad to hear you enjoyed working with your peers. Team climate consistently comes up as one of the top things Jimdoers appreciate about working here. We understand your feelings about the recent layoffs and concerns over the lack of stability. As a company, we constantly change to provide the best services to our users and to stay ahead of the competition in a fast-paced environment. Jimdo is in a strong strategic position because our free and paid products are the foundation for millions of users to start, build, and grow their small businesses - and we will continue to expand our offerings to solve even more of their problems. However, the world is in a crisis that we simply cannot ignore. A recession is looming, and according to the Jimdo Business Climate Index, it will hit the smallest businesses - our customers - the hardest. Our users are already reporting that their customers have reduced their spending, which will likely lead them to reduce their spending on our products in turn. That's why we've taken this difficult step to reduce the size of our workforce in order to make our company more resilient to the expected turmoil. Jimdo has provided the affected employees with the best possible support in this situation. They received above-average severance packages as well as outplacement counseling and psychological support.
