With the way the economy is going, we’ve had to look at our costs and make some adjustments to control our expenses during these uncertain times. We’ve lowered as many non-headcount costs as possible for 2023, but 80% of our expenses come from payroll. We are disheartened we had to do a reduction in force of about 10% of the company. In order to make the decision on who would be part of this reduction, we looked at a number of things including: which roles can be outsourced, individual performance, tenure, roles that could be eliminated, job duties that could be reassigned, outcomes based off of scorecards, and what positions are critical to supporting our customer base. This criteria was looked at by each team and department to make decisions. We sent an email as a notice because we wanted everyone to know at the same moment if they were impacted or not. Word spreads fast, and we didn’t want anyone to be uncertain of the status of their employment. We wanted nothing more than to have these conversations face-to-face, but could not find a way to do that without creating uncertainty. We wanted to respect each person’s privacy as they received this difficult news. We offered those impacted a 2 month severance package. Additionally, we are helping with job searching support. We’ve facilitated 430+ introductions and lined up 97+ interviews for those impacted up to this point, because we care about everyone who has and ever will work for JobNimbus.
