Pros

- Jobbatical embrace fully remote working, and it's good for persons who want to work fully autonomous. - The management is transparent about the condition of the company. - In my team, every communication was asynchronous. Most of the meeting was a Slack thread.

Cons

- Since the management was transparent, it was easy to find out that there would be laid off. (I'm not sure either this is a pros or cons though) - Fully remote working could make you feel lonely especially when most of the meeting is just a Slack thread. I kinda like the hybrid setup when the team came once a week and see each other. - Not much career opportunities. Once you hired, expect you will stuck in the same role for years.

Pros

Jobbatical is a workplace where people are genuinely feel heard. Team members appreciate a culture where feedback is encouraged always, Leadership is approachable, and ideas are discussed openly. Transparency is a core part of how the company operates—whether it’s clear communication about goals, honest conversations about challenges, or visibility into decision-making processes. On top of that, the strong remote culture and flexible work environment give employees the freedom to work in a way that supports both productivity and work–life balance.

Cons

I could not spot any cons.

Pros

The experience was positive in many ways. The quality of work was good, and the collaboration within the engineering and product teams was impressive. The company also maintains a healthy work-life balance and genuinely values life beyond work, which creates a pleasant and flexible work environment.

Cons

However, the opportunities for learning and career growth are quite limited due to the company’s small size. The business operates in a very narrow niche within Global Mobility and Immigration, which restricts its potential for long-term growth. For Jobbatical to truly scale, it needs to focus on developing stronger and more diverse revenue streams. Because of financial constraints and restructuring, many talented employees eventually leave or are let go, which is not an encouraging sign for the company’s stability or future. And this is quite a routine at Jobbatical.
