Supportive team and improved training

Pros

My team are amazing Be wise training always something to learn Management is family friendly and understanding. Always overtime

Cons

I had a rocky start with poor management Ask me about cons a year or two ago id say training but we now have bewise that helps - but rarely have time to complete No aircon or heating in store They made all supervisors redundant some like me remained keyholder but still do all the same jobs and only get a higher rate pay when no management in store

Thank you for your feedback - it's great to hear you have an amazing team and access to lots of training along with experiencing family friendly and understanding management. Thanks for your other comments, we're glad things have improved in the last 1-2 years (we're trying!). We do take action from suggestions raised in our listening groups and our senior team is very receptive to feedback to make things better for our colleagues, customers and their pets. Re the heating / air con situation, our property team are reviewing our protocols for that ahead of the summer months so any plans will be communicated to colleagues accordingly. In the meantime, we do provide free uniform, layered for different temperatures, polo shirts for warmer weather (with the option to swap your usual trousers for tailored shorts if you prefer during summer months), sweatshirts and a jacket for colder weather so hopefully this gives colleagues a range of options to suit their temperature preferences, but we're open to feedback so if you have any suggestions do get in touch at people@jollyes.com. Horrific Management

Pros

The other sales assistants were so lovely! They’re the only reason it’s getting 1 star, the job was very easy, customers were pleasant. The company itself was actually decent to work for.

Cons

The cons are the deputy manager (she was in charge because they couldn’t get a store manager) I have never had the misfortune of working for someone so unpleasant. Constant messages outside of work in a group chat with constant criticism, which was never communicated in person, she claimed she knew who the issue was yet never said anything to them but she thought it was acceptable to basically harass staff until 10/11pm at night and I was also called disrespectful because I didn’t reply to a message in the group chat when I wasn’t at work, it had been answered by someone else anyway! She’s hands down the worst manager I have ever had the displeasure of working with. She also had a habit of just ignoring staff for no reason.
