By far the worst management support…

Pros

Teammates, one or two members of management and salary/benefits

Cons

Direct superiors/management are an absolute joke. No support or real management unless it is solely focused on making them appear aware and competent. People in positions of “power” with no experience or skillset to manage programs or staff. Lack of clear, concise information between departments due to management interference (after managers have gone radio silent, cancelled much-needed internal meetings and log in to client meetings but do not contribute). Huge divide between project management team and literally every other department. Lots of late night emails from management…long after normal business hours. Lots of concern that nearly entire HR Department turned over at the same time. SOPs are ridiculous and overdone. Too many processes…dysfunctional.

Poor culture, poor management

Pros

Many of the people who work there are amazing. It's unfortunate that they push good people out

Cons

Toxic culture - the only thing the company cares about is profit and results. No DE&I. No regard for burnout, mental health or work/life balance. You are means to an end. HR is expected to disregard laws and what is ethical and when you refuse you are shunned. Years of incorrect FLSA statuses, non compliance with required trainings, incorrectly verified I-9s just to name a few. If they don't get the answers they want from one lawyer they will jump to the next in hopes of staying out of trouble. Many of those on the senior leadership team are stuck in the past and lack basic managerial skills. It's a known and common occurrence that if you get on the VP of Admin/PM side your life will be made miserable until you leave. No rhyme or reason as to who can work hybrid/remote and who can't. If you require FMLA you are dubbed "unreliable" Low pay, minimal vacation and the expectation that you work 50-60 hours a week. Do not expect recognition or engagement.
