I have been working at Keystone Fire Protection full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Keystone Fire Protection is primed for substantial, sustained growth over the next few years, if not longer. The Management team is putting considerable effort into acquiring, training, and preserving a diverse and professional workforce. Internal processes are being refined to keep pace with the expanding customer base and services. Whenever a company enters a growth cycle, growing pains will be felt across all departments. These are excellent problems to have. They take patience, creative thinking, and teamwork to navigate compared to business contraction, which is swift and unforgiving. Employees either accept the challenges and adapt or fail to break from their complacent ways and will likely move on, which equates to addition by subtraction. Complaining but not bringing constructive solutions to the table is just bad form.

    Cons

All of the Cons I can think of are being addressed in one way or another.

I have been working at Keystone Fire Protection full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Not a single one, unless you are in the cover up wagon. Honest hard workers will never be asked to get in the wagon

    Cons

Notice how most positive reviews show up here in clumps, almost all on the same day. Looks like a garbage company faking high reviews, because this IS a garbage company faking high reviews. The VP told all of the employees at a meeting how to log in from different sources and rate the company high to win prizes. VP couldn’t run a lemonade stand, and nobody is stopping her. Customers, please request the certs from the employee/technician that is conducting a life safety inspection. Most of them are guessing or just “tagging” your buildings. “FIELD TEAM LEADERS”, or as they see themselves “bosses”, are so unqualified that I don’t know where to begin. DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

    Keystone Fire Protection Response

    June 1, 2018Vice President

Dear OFFICE INTERN?? We are always interested in CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK. However, the description of a GARBAGE Company is highly inappropriate and simply untrue. Additionally- we do not have any OFFICE INTERNS and have NEVER HAD AN OFFICE INTERN for 3 years. Keystone has been in business for over 60 years and we have a stellar reputation in the industry. We realize not all employees may like their supervisors or perhaps do not see their own limitations. This is something every organization must deal with. However, with regard to the management of the company: The company could not possibly have grown to this level of size, market share, or success the without our exceptional, dedicated leaders. Senior level management is clear on the vision of the company, as well as the efforts needed to achieve the desired goals. The credentials of the managers are impeccable. We are a learning organization and dedicated to continual training and development of skills which is exhibited by year-round training of technicians and internal staff on everything from quality assurance, customer service, safety, codes, trade skill, and leadership. The CEO has over 35 years industry experience. He is NICET CERTIFIED in Fire alarms, Fire Sprinkler Systems, and Special Hazard Fire Suppression. Additionally, he previously held the position of President of NAFED (National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors) and is currently the President of FSSA (Fire Systems Suppression Association). The President has over 30 years of experience in managing Field Labor Trades with specialties in building highly effective teams, technology implementations and Business Process Development. She is an active member of Vistage executive coaching organization and has been the recipient of several management awards throughout her career. The Operations Manager has over 14 years industry experience and is NICET Level II as well as holding many other certifications in the industry. The Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Technical supervisors (Field Team Leaders) all hold NICET Certifications, OSHA Certifications and many other trade and safety certifications. The Alarm Field Team Leader has over 20 years in the industry and the Sprinkler Field Team Leaders have over 17 years combined experience between the two of them. The Pre-Engineered Technical Supervisors are certified in all equipment from the manufacturers as well as NAFED and NFPA certified. He most recently served as the President of the PAFED, (Pennsylvania Association of Fire Equipment Distributors) and most recently Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee for PAFED, working directly with the Pennsylvania State Legislature concerning certification/licensure for the Fire Protection Industry in our Commonwealth. I have been working at Keystone Fire Protection full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I really enjoy being an employee here. From day one, my coworkers have been so kind and welcoming. They really make me feel like I am a valuable part of the team! Management is easily accessible, which makes working on projects and getting them done in a timely matter incredibly simple! It is so refreshing to work for a company where I feel like I can accomplish a lot on a daily basis, and I am recognized for my hard work. I would recommend working here to anyone looking for a job out of high school, college, or even those looking to make a complete career change like I did. They train you and make sure you have all the tools necessary to succeed!

    Cons

An hour for lunch seems a bit excessive. I would rather work from 8 to 4:30 with just a half hour lunch. It allows me to be more productive throughout the day and beat traffic to the gym at the end of the day so I can get home and make dinner at a reasonable time.

A lot of effort is put into building and maintaining a great work environment here at keystone. Team events and a great group of co-workers! I feel I am paid well, listened to by supervisors and managers and honestly- it's probably the best Company I've ever worked for.

    Cons

I really can't think of anything glaringly wrong. Some days the work load is heavier than others but I like being busy so it's all good.
