Pros

You got a seat at the big table, SO many brands in our world have come through L&F Quite a diverse range of industry projects, brief and rotating teams Working with experienced professionals

Cons

Unhealthy obsession with collecting awards ( once at the cost of making a disgusting joke about the Ukraine War) and never using those awards for leveraging larger timelines on projects or even having strong design opinions that are in opposition to the client Ridiculous expectations, and little to no sustainable support system The expectation of constant, unacknowledged overtime Professionally gaslighting people Toxic work culture perpetrated by the core system and functioning of the team Repetitive and Templatised work processes Constantly giving in to the opinions of the clients, who were MBAs on average with little to no data backing their design critiques

Pros

You get a global name on your resume

Cons

There is a huge gender bias in the way female employees are spoken to, and mentored (or lack of) I worked here for 5 years as a senior designer and I wasn't promoted, I wasn't even given concrete reasons, and then a Male employee was hired from the outside who has 0 (ZERO!) work experience. He has only worked as a freelancer and doesn't even have 5 branding projects in his portfolio. All this was very upsetting because when I got a new job and decided to leave they threw the promotion at me. Male employees are constantly furthered and spoken to with a lot more politeness and with a belief they are some sort of "natural-born leaders". Female employees giving any kind of feedback or having an issue - is written away as 'whining' and 'catfights'. The design directors very often book themselves on projects and get the work done from senior or junior designers while constantly criticizing the work. It is really is not a very democratic place. They have no comp-leaves for working on holidays and no empathy either.
