Pros

Great travel benefits, airfare and living was covered, food was partially covered.

Cons

Pay was not very good compared to the work you were doing, it is a for profit company and some care more about the paycheck then the service. In process of merger, was very disorganized. Staff changes every summer so overall very disorganized as a whole.

Pros

Tremendous potential for personal and professional growth; an engaging experience, and a chance to work with, teach, and be a role model for some incredibly bright high school students; free travel, room and board, along with a moderate meal stipend for breaks between conferences

Cons

Training/orientation is focused more on the mission of the organization and less on the practical details one needs to know in order to be truly successful on the job; low wage, when considering the number of hours worked (about 14-16 hours per day for 10 consecutive days with 4-5 days between each conference); few fully developed/realized programs with more of a focus on leadership than academic work, as compared to competing organizations, and students will often notice this
