COO lacks the humility, ability, and minimal leadership skills required to be a manager at any level, let alone C-Suite. Within 6 months the leadership team hired 20% additional staff ("we're hiring from a position of strength"), handed out 20% pay increases to those that were favored, then required all employees to take 10% pay cuts, and ultimately laid off nearly 1/3 of the entire company's staffing. COO insulated herself with personal friends and family in positions such as Chief of Staff and HR Director, creating a toxic work environment that left little options for employees to voice their concerns.
