Pros

Many PhDs, Ex-Wall Street and Industry professionals create a dynamic learning environment. Given the number of company verticals (equity research, investment banking, investor relations, consulting, etc.), it is a totally immersive environment for healthcare professionals. Overall work culture and quality of colleagues is quite special.

Cons

Upper-management is staunchly focused on top-line growth and profitability; Minimal interest in allocating resources to develop entry & associate level colleagues. Overall, long-term career progression is hindered in most verticals and compensation is significantly less competitive than working for an actual broker/dealer, healthcare consulting or biotech company.
