Pros

1) It takes everything to work for LifeStraw. 2) An organization bound by strong work ethics, having global code of conduct on UN Model, working towards achieving SDGs and zero tolerance for corruption, all sorts of discrimination, makes working enjoyable. 3) Freedom to connect to Senior management like CEO, CFO, Vice Presidents on matters pertaining to business and process improvement. 4) A true team culture, where you are not insulted or pinpointed for your mistakes, but the whole team comes and works on your behalf to remove from the quagmire situation. 5) Only place where you can serve humanity at grass root level. the best satisfaction is derived from knowing that your work actually saves a vulnerable/under priveleged living soul some where across the globe. 6) The response towards relief in global disasters, serving children in Western Kenya and many parts of Africa/Latin America and Asia, and the smiles you see on their faces, makes you retire your day and sleep with content, giving you the necessary energy to wake up and work the next day. 6) We find our reporting managers to be true leaders. I worked under 3 different managers during my tenure and all the gentlemen, who managed and are managing me currently gave me encouragement/ motivation/responsibility/adequate delegation to act and take spontaneous decisions, provided they are within the accepted code of conduct and are beneficial for organization's benefit. 7) Never we compromise our work ethics and will not pursue any business opportunity, if it is detrimental to the organization values and your decision personally not to handle that situation is respected. 8) LifeStraw is the only organization where business strategy is shared with every employee ranging from a CEO to the lower most in the hierarchy scale. This is the only organization where everyone of us truly understand the mission, vision and values and our daily life revolves around them. 9) The values and the work culture are so immensely powerful, majority of us including me, inculcate them in my personal sphere of life. 10) Working in LifeStraw turned me 360 degrees in my official and my personal life. This is the only organization which gives you opportunity to be reemployed with them. I initially worked from 2006 to 2012 and then rejoined back in 2017 and will continue working, till such time I get the opportunity. 11) Current macro economic conditions are highly unpredictable and sometime in future, God Forbidding, if I am asked to go, I will go with a profound satisfaction that I served the organization till the last second and that no one can takeback the precious time, I worked here. This will solemnly remain with me for my life and with a hope that I can rejoin back if another opportunity comes when I am alive.

Cons

No. Everywhere there are challenges. The deadlines exist everywhere and hence cannot be complained.

Pros

Not a lot, senior leaders who work from home but tell you to be in the office. Feedback the CEO approves of is all that's heard. No organizational strategy outside of what looks cool in a social media reel.

Cons

Doesn't foster diverse opinions. CEO is surrounded by "yes" leaders. Their are three people who get outsize weight for their ideas/tenure relative to new hires. Not a great place to work.

Pros

The mission is great and your work does matter. Non-leadership team members are great to be around.

Cons

A lot of turnovers for such a small US team. Not much diversity outside of the international offices. Leadership Team- They do not lead. There are no solid plans, and the plans they do have seem scattered and last minute. Some "leaders" do not have much experience outside of LifeStraw and are not good at managing people. They will throw their team under the bus to save face with the CEO. Leadership will claim this is a flat organization and is open to feedback but will not be receptive to suggestions, criticism, or questions. The CEO is also the most inappropriate person I have met professionally and if a man did half of what she does it would probably be on the news.
