Pros

Lionrock is committed to its clients and staff. I feel supported by management and have enjoyed working with smart, dynamic colleagues. Peter Loeb, the CEO, is personally invested in the mission of the organization and is very approachable. The clinical services are high quality. If any family/friends were struggling with substance use disorder, I would have no concerns referring them to Lionrock. This is one of the healthiest organizations that I have worked with. I was unsure about working with a 100% virtual company, but have found a great deal of support and community.

Cons

The company is growing. For full-time employees, benefits are included. This is great if you need benefits, but if you don't, it doesn't make financial sense to be full-time. If there were a way to opt out of benefits and get paid at the higher part-time rate, I would absolutely work here full-time.

A Mixed Bag

Pros

Flexible schedule, work from home (100 percent telehealth treatment), focused treatment for clients, honorable mission that is backed up by management actions, no-cost support groups on website.

Cons

If you want guaranteed income, you'll need to be full time, which requires being a group counselor or supervisor. There is less flexibility in your schedule with groups. You are responsible for getting coverage for your groups if you are sick or want vacation, which is reasonable. For clients on an individual basis, you only get paid if they show up. There is no pro-rated reimbursement for no shows with Lionrock. The clients are only charged a very minimal no show/late cancel fee which is not paid forward. Rapid changes are inevitable with a growing company, however with the pandemic onset, there has been a chance in the tone of staff wide emails. A most recent staff wide email actually said "Y'all are killing me" and "could you get it together already??!!" with a few curse words dispersed. There is a dismissive tone and contradictory communication. Someone needs to be auditing groups, charts and communications in the EHR. If they were, it would be apparent where further training is needed. Sending emails is not training.

First, we want to thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are working hard to build and maintain a good culture at Lionrock, and we're glad to see the value in areas like having a flexible work schedule and our mission being backed up by management actions. That's great feedback for us. When it comes to client no shows, we provide a certain amount of flex time for our counselors to complete other job related tasks and hope you are utilizing this time to do so. Our mission has always been to make sure our counselors get paid for all of the work they do. One of our part time tracks guarantees the minimum hours, but it does require some group availability or obtaining additional state licenses. We would never want our employees to feel as though their concerns were being dismissed which is why we are working hard in this area. We have recently incorporated additional training that directly addresses the concerns you have pointed out. Additionally, we are constantly auditing our processes both clinically and administratively and will continue to look at areas that need our attention. We appreciate the feedback here at Lionrock as we continue to be the leader in telehealth treatment for substance use disorder.

Fulfilling work

Pros

- Everyone here cares about everyone- the clients and the employees. I have never seen a company work so hard to make sure that clients are getting the best help possible, and also to make sure that the employees are supported and listened to. - It is remote work, and there is flexibility with when you work - 401K and health and vision insurance and PTO

Cons

I honestly have none. I hope that everyone can work for Lionrock or a company like Lionrock
