You have to pull your weight and be willing to work hard and be accountable to your teammates. It is not for everyone who is hoping to get a remote job and hide from their responsibilities. The turnover is extremely low, so the bad reviews you see are probably from the few angry team members that were let go and are frustrated that they are no longer part of this special team and company.

Pay is horrifically under-market. Minimal benefits (little to no PTO, abysmally bad health insurance) No opportunities to actually grow; they give a minimal inflation raise and a title change with no real development. Company leadership is very arrogant to the point of being cocky. They claim they're going to the moon any day now, but the rocket is still in the garage.
