Pros

Decent benefits, flexible with time off

Cons

Lull is an incredibly conservative company for a start-up. They are not accepting of new or creative ideas and solutions. Management pretends to listen to employees but never implements any changes. One example of this is in the diversity of Lull's ads. Lull's ads almost exclusively feature young, white, women. When confronted with this management just said "it performed better." This issue had been raised to management many times and even after Lull performatively participated in #BlackOutTuesday very little change has been made. This rigid adherence to data and performance above all else is seen in all management decisions. The workplace culture is very cliquey. The well-paid salaried employees all hang out and party together on weekends, and go out to lunch together almost every day. Lull social events (pre-covid) were very fratty and alcohol-centric. If you are not a heavy drinker you might feel left out. The "influencer marketing team" is kept apart from the "marketing team" and paid significantly less even though they generate all of the content used in Lull's ads. The "influencer marketing team" also sees very little opportunities for advancement and has a very low pay ceiling. You receive better compensation if you are hired in a different department at Lull, but the grim workplace culture and rigid management style permeate the company. This could be a good opportunity to get some entry-level experience while you search for a more rewarding company. Also, I did not work in the call center but it seems like they are treated even worse than admin employees.

Pros

The office is extremely silent and hardworking. Management and Owners of the company are transparent about spending practices.

Cons

Although open communication and collaboration is encouraged by the company, the current culture doesn't comfortably allow for it. Any concerns or ideas brought up by employees fall on deaf ears and receive tone deaf responses. Lull does not look out for the well being of their employees. They pride themselves on giving you just enough to stick around and hope for more. Their favorite saying is "You don't work at Lull. You work for yourself, at Lull." So basically, look out for yourself because Lull won't.
