Pros

The only Pro I ever had for this job was the decent pay rate

Cons

The staff is dominated within the Asian community. They are not helpful, they communicate in their own language whilst laughing at your mistakes, they belittle you when you are unsure of what to do especially being a newbie. Some of them aren't even team leaders nor supervisors yet they act superior to treat you like garbage and give you low down jobs like sweeping the floor, change the bins, grab the trolley's of flowers, grab the labels or flower food sachets, restock everyone else's stations then they'll be spiteful and push ribbish on the floor only to tell you to pick it up and to me that seems like being a servant when you are doing it your WHOLE shift because they don't like you to make a mistake or slow down the production. The lack of authority in each line is horrendous! You don't know what avenues to take in order to report this and then you think is it even worth it or will they just keep bullying you anyways as a majority once they find out there has been a report. I had one other lovely Asian lady start with me and she was treated very well to the point they even shared lunch with her yet there was no where for me to sit with them but plenty of room outside in the smoking area. The pay may be decent but this job is filled with very racist beings, the lack of training and support is outrageous, the amount of non english speakers is very intimidating and discouraging, the "team" is most definitely not unified but very divided racially. This applies to both sites in Ingleburn and Moorebank Australia

Pros

Totally agree with previous review. You have a great sense of team unity within your territory as you're all watching out for each other, and working with flowers on a day to day basis is quite lovely. There are worse ways to earn a crust. Perfect for a Uni Student because you can do super early shifts and finish work before anyone else is even starting their day. The autonomy of this job is awesome, and it is a great way to get yourself out there and really practice your social skills and building relationships in a professional setting. The pay is decent, and I would recommend it to someone needing extra cash.

Cons

Lynch has a strict 15 hours p/w rule for casual workers, so don't expect more hours or any career progression at all. There is no more room at the top for any more managers. The difficulty of your day often depends on the carelessness/carefulness of the person who did it before you- so it can get really annoying if you are constantly working after a slob. The Lynch "big bosses" are pretty out of touch, but you only really notice when they visit your stores and "help you"merchandise.
