Pros

New-ish office, so at least bright & clean

Cons

"poor management" would be charitable, insipid work environment often punctuated with pointless comments meant either to disparage or annoy but frequently both, long hours, low pay, and meager benefits - in other words, the ideal workplace to lose any passion you may have once felt for your profession.

Pros

Bagels on Friday doesn't account for the plunder.

Cons

This firm has nothing to offer besides bad habits and ptsd. If you are poc, particularly black, and particularly female; you will deal with a steady undercurrent of casual racism and at times unwittingly inflammatory. Executives adorn imagery of racist organizations and administrations, casual *white nationalist* gestures are shared between executives - The white power “Okay” upside down hand gesture is cowardly, not courageously, shared in the office between executives; Those of which are public faces of the company and have broad and deciding influence over the work environment. Avoid all office gatherings where there is an executive of the firm present. A few executives get sloppy drunk and let's just say it becomes an HR nightmare. ( If an HR actually existed here ) You will be bare minimum insulted over and over again. The people doing the work are treated like chattel - their time a moveable and inexhaustible asset to the firm. Every 6 months or so MKDA loses half their firm. People are still leaving till this day. The exploitation and exhaustion of their employees is baked into their business model. They admitted that their business model creates a pandemonium that they're fine with. Young people are brought in as fodder for their cash flow. Drawings are not reviewed by principals, managers or the sole licensed architect in the office. This is fast food architecture. Do not be enamored by their portfolio or the age of the firm. They lack graphic standards and any inclination that they will soon implement them is a lie. To say management is poor would be a vast understatement. They want drones, loyalists, robots that churn out work. There’s no policy for employee reviews or salary reconsideration. They don’t want you to get sick or have *more* kids. This is a deeply toxic work place. The small of it - Do not trust the smiles. P.S. Those two positive reviews in Jan. ‘19 are absolutely fake and manufactured by management.

Pros

Work Experience, Able to work on all aspects of a project

Cons

Work overload on architects and designers. Expected to work 60+ hours on a 40 hour salary every week. Too worried about end profit than staff. 3rd general family members are lazy and take up desk space. No incentive to work hard. Feels like a sweat shop.
