Great atmosphere and good growth prospects
Pros
I love the broadness of projects from different industries and the new perspectives each project requires, you always learn something and gain deep industry insights and I was pleasantly surprised how big the projects and established some of the clients are for such a small shop compared to the well-known management consulting agencies or venture builders. I also like the content of our work, its positive, value-adding projects with impact and actual work results, that is very satisfying. We don't produce endless slides. The outlook for what is planned in the company seems quite exciting and realistic given our current progress so I feel like I am in a good place. The office view is mind-blowing on the 29th floor of pretty much the only skyscraper in Berlin, it never gets old and does something with you. What I like most about the company is probably the colleagues, really friendly and easy to get along and definitely not boring. all quite young though. But everyone who isn't a junior is already quite accomplished and successful in their field, smart and ambitious people with high standards throughout. No politics or other unnecessary things. Atmosphere is really good between everyone and the degree of flexibility is quite high in terms of how everyone can manage and divide his own work and time.
Cons
The office is good to reach via public transport, but its still somewhat off from all the main areas so its not easy to meet up with other people over lunch somewhere because it takes so much time to travel back and forth to Mitte/PBerg. Sometimes the office is a bit empty as well when everyone is on-site on a project, depends on the week. What is a bit frustrating is that I feel the company could do so much better and grow much faster, given the potential of its people and the service we established, but some non-productive tasks are stuck with some people who should be focused on other things and some processes should be enforced more strictly by management to keep everyone more efficient. It seems like it will get better because a lot of hires are being made to add to the management and everyone is aware of current problems and seems to be working on improving them, but I cannot yet say how good progress will be.
