Too Ambitious Too Soon

Pros

The founders fully believe in the goal. Some of the higher management show empathy and actually want the people under them to grow. The diversity of the company.

Cons

Staff retention has been an issue either by not being a good fit or by not treating the ones who are excellent and work hard right. Pay is not in align with the work people put in. They've lost trust, one of the core values of the business.

CEOs lack direction & forethought Turnover is high - Staff are hired and made redundant often Unprofessional work place - Office is cluttered, messy with years of junk No dress code to speak of They can’t seem to get it right with customer service - scathing customer reviews

Great company but terrible pay

Pros

- Management in amazing. Very motivating,, positive and empathetic. - Company culture is great. All staff members are very lovely and friendly. - Dog friendly office. - Hybrid work model (office and work from home). - Monthly business review actually adds value. - Recording of all processes and learning material in 1 central location for all employees to access.

Cons

- Terrible salary. Start up culture creates the expectation for staff to work hard, go above and beyond but for terrible pay. - Understaffed in some departments and needs are not listened to until the situation is dire. - Some procedures are not well planned from the onset and come back to haunt everyone. Then management expects junior staff members to come up with a solution or brand new process together with minimal support. - Roles are not well defined. Big projects that I believe should be the responsibility of senior management or line managers are palmed off to junior staff members and pitched as an opportunity to “prove themselves”.
