Pros

The only thing keeping people at MSH is the time flexibility and paid time off.

Cons

Besides the horrible pay and terrible managers, MSH is a place to let your hopes and dreams die. You'll get overworked and not recognized for your constant outstanding production. Raises happen annually and are always late. Management leads by being dictators and are very inexperienced/ unknowledgable in the industry, you can count on not being trained correctly by them. You pick up more from the people sitting next to you than them as well. Management also pats themselves on the back for your achievements and doesn't give credit where credit is due. Morale is extremely low and almost every employee is searching for a better paying job that will actually test their knowledge. The president walks around collecting a pay check but doesn't actually do anything but flash his $20,000+ watches to everyone. They don't invest in their employees and only promote family. It's actually disgusting that everyone in a management role is either related or is a close family friend of the owner. It's very clear that they take care of their family and their family only, while they use and abuse the people that do the real work. They sell services just to sell, not actually what is good for the client which ends up falling on operational employees to calm the screaming clients down. I have always wondered what management actually does beside talk fantasy football and what Lexus their going to get next. Your phone, computer and conversations are all monitored closely by HR and the COO, which makes you question what they actually do. The "cafeteria" is disgusting and is cluttered with plastic tables and chairs, how nice. The management staff will be first to go out of their way to make sure it's known that they went above and beyond for providing you with something (I'm referring to when they patted themselves on the back for providing electricity for a crock pot competition, that they made sure we were clocked out for). Another con is the fact they don't give you bonuses, the first Christmas bonus was $25 (that was taxed) then this year we were told that because the sales weren't as high in the previous year we didn't receive one at all. Since I started over 45 people have left the company and almost all left because of pay. There is no unity between employees and management, it feels like you're working in a sweat shop. There is no direct coaching instead they will waste time sitting the entire company down and going over the issue instead of just pulling aside the one individual and telling them what they did wrong. They bandaid their problems instead of proactively trying to prepare themselves for future issues. It seems like there is always something going on behind the scenes that none of the employees can know about, it's quite frustrating.

Pros

good teammates. good hours. good work/life balance.

Cons

managers don't know what they're doing. they forget about the employees who've been there for years and instead promote the new people that walk in the door. pay is awful. no room to move up in company.

Pros

A common theme here for the pros portion is flex time...so I will continue along with that. I have a fun time working here, I get along well with my peers.

Cons

Where to begin? The benefits package is sub par. Health insurance is awful NO EYE, NO DENTAL, and the plans are not that great either. Hopefully your spouse can pick up the health insurance if you choose to work here. Like other reviewers have mentioned before me, the status here is very reactive. On multiple occasions departments have been brought into a room and asked to take things down from websites for violating standards - or bad practices. There is NO training program for any department. If you are a newbie, you'll sit for a day with a person from each dept and they will explain their job; but many will not explain how your job works together with theirs. (This is a general mindset and leads to creating SILOS in the company) If you have zero experience in SEO, hold onto your chair as you are catapulted into a role where you will have to rely on others around you to hopefully show you the ropes. It probably goes without saying that the pay is way under where the industry dictates it should be.
